February 19, 2010, Newsletter Issue #108: Questions to consider before accepting instant credit card approval

Tip of the Week

Whether or not to apply for an instant approval credit card isn't a decision you should make in an instant. As with any credit card, there are several questions you should ask before applying to open an account. Before you apply, find out about any fees associated with the card, including late fees, annual fees, and processing or application fees. Ask what the grace period is and whether the interest rate is fixed or variable. If there is an introductory interest rate, find out how long it lasts and what it changes to after it expires. By making sure your instant credit card is really a good deal, you can save yourself a lot of frustration later on.
